Why do you need a Private Liability Insurance?
Liability concerns everyone who can cause damage to a third party, their property or assets. Everyone can have a bad day, is in a hurry, tired, stressed out or might not be as concentrated as needed to be in certain situations– there is always a reason and a mishap will happen quicker than you think. Only small moment of negligence or carelessness can cause huge consequences costing a lot of money, sometimes more than one can afford. Private liability insurance protects you against such financial catastrophes.
And which risks does Liability insurance protect against?
If the claim for indemnification is justifiable, we will take care of the matter and arrange for a quick and unbureaucratic payment within the scope and coverage of the contract. All compensation demands will be dealt wih up to the full amount of the agreed insurance sums. If the claimant is demanding a too high amount or unjustified damages and you therefore are not legally liable for these expenses, we will act on your behalf and enforce your rights, turning down any wrongful claims without any kind of expenses for you.

And which causes of risks could a person possibly represent?
Insured is your legal liability for any kind of damage to people, property or financial loss, caused privately
up to 10 Million Euros lump-sum, maximum twice this amount per insurance year. This amount can be
- as a pedestrian or cyclist in road traffic
- while supervising children
- when practising a sport
- as the owner of a flats or single-family house (also granny-flats) for your own residential purposes
- while travelling or staying abroad

- as the owner of small pets (e.g. cats, hamster, rabbit but not dogs or horses)

- Receivables Insurance

- Temporary use or rental of a single-family house or flat, used for private/ residential purposes
- Deposit up to 60.000 € as a security should a damage occur abroad but in Europe
- Loss of keys (not one's own), locks or locking systems up to 30.000 €
- Private useage of the internet
- Usage of surfboards, rowboats or canoes
- Usage of third party sailing boats without an engine
- Usage of own sailing boats without a motor and up to a max. of 5 metres hulk length
- Occasional use of third party motor boats (also sailing boats with motor) up to 110kW (150 PS)
- Occasional use of third party motor vehicles liable to insurance deductions while travelling abroad but within Europe (“Mallorca Coverage”)
- Use of vehicles non-liable to insurance deductions if they are:
- motor vehicles up to 6 km/h maximum speed
- work machines up to 20 km/h maximum speed
- motor vehicles only driven on private roads or or own property
- Damage to rented furnishing in hotels, motels, holiday flats and houses up to 30.000 € (!150,-€ excess!)
- Occasional taking care of strange dogs (as a favour)
- Property damages caused by domestic waste water and by waste backwater to a drainage system
- Damages caused byv a gradual impact of temperature, gases, vapours or humidity
- Water contamination caused by small containers (e.g. paint cans, petrol cans) up to a max. of 50 litres/kg per unit, total 500 litres/kg
- Taking care of a single relatives in need of special attendance (“Pflegestufe 2” – care level 2 in Germany)
Where does Personal Liability Insurance provide cover?
Perpetuity insurance cover in Germany, EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein
and up to 3 years in any other country worldwide.
